I’ve wanted to do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai since I got out of the military 10 years ago, but never got around to it. I was worried about starting in my mid 30s because of the age and experience differences I would encounter having never done martial arts before. I finally signed up in September of 2016.
My concerns were unwarranted. The coaches are great and make learning fun and stress free. They never hesitate to answer your questions or demonstrate a technique again when you didn’t quite get it. There are students of varying ages and experience there as well. They have all been very welcoming and friendly, providing encouragement and help when drilling techniques or rolling.
Fairfax Jiu Jitsu has become my home away from home and I find when I’m away on business I can’t wait to get back to train! If you’re interested in learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or Muay Thai, I highly recommend signing up for their free trial. I hope to see you out on the mat!
Fairfax on 3!
They have such a calming and peaceful atmosphere. Her classes have really helped with my flexibility, balance, breathing, and focus, which really compliment everything we do at FJJ.
Saba’s classes were really my first venture into yoga and she made learning it an easy and positive experience. I highly recommend everyone check it out if you haven’t yet. You might be surprised how much you enjoy it!
