October 12, 2013. Ashburn, VA – For the second time in a row, Fairfax Jiu Jitsu has won the overall team title at the Copa Nova Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championships. The team collected 56 medals at the one-day event which is held three times per year. Grapplers from all age groups, children, adult and executive, were represented as well as across all skill levels from novice to advanced. For many students, this was their first competition experience. Consistently, FJJ students showed grit and determination, a high level of skill, as well as the sportsmanship Fairfax Jiu Jitsu is known for win or lose. Every competitor came away with an experience that will only improve their Jiu Jitsu. They will all be on the mat this week refining their game and continuing their development as martial artists.
